When credits are returned and how refunds work.
When a credit is returned
A credit is returned when the check cannot complete. This happens in these situations:

| Candidate withdraws consent | ✓ |
| Consent link expires (14 days, no response) | ✓ |
| Employer cancels — no referee contacted | ✓ |
| Employer cancels — a referee was contacted | ✗ |
| Closing date passes — zero responses | ✓ |
| Closing date passes — at least one response | ✗ |
Refunds
Refunds come from Stripe (for example, if a charge is refunded). These are separate from credit returns. A refunded purchase is recorded as a refund in your transaction history.
Transaction history
You can view your last 10 transactions from the dashboard. Each transaction shows the type and amount.
