An overview of PreHire — reference checks with evidence, not judgement.
PreHire is a self-serve web application for UK employers who need to verify references. We deliver evidence-graded reports — facts about what we checked and what we found, never a verdict on a person.
What we do
You buy a reference check credit, enter a candidate, and we handle the rest. The candidate consents, nominates referees, and we verify each referee's identity and employment claims through five automated checks. The result is a single report with evidence for every claim we could verify, and a clear statement where we could not.
What we don't do
- We never judge a candidate. Our reports state what we observed — not whether a person is "suitable" or "unsuitable".
- We never use AI to evaluate answers. Every check is a deterministic function.
- We do not store CVs, dates of birth, addresses, ID documents, criminal or health data.
Pricing
A check costs £9 (one candidate, up to ten referees, one report). Packs are available: 10 for £85 and 25 for £199. Your first check is free when you sign up.
