For candidates
What you'll receive
What happens when an employer raises a reference check on you.
When an employer raises a reference check, you receive an email with a link to a secure page. On that page you can:
- Review what the employer has requested and what information we collect.
- Consent or decline to have your referees contacted.
- Nominate your referees (up to ten).
- Track the progress and replace referees if needed.
What we collect
We collect your name, email, role and the details you provide about your referees — their names, work emails, employers and your relationship. We do not collect your date of birth, address, ID documents, criminal or health data.
Your privacy
Your data is retained for 3 months after the check closes, then deleted. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
